Description
This kit measures for acidity by using the phenolphthalein endpoint to determine hydrochloric, sulfuric, and phosphoric acids.
Titrimetric tests are used to determine the concentration of a substance in a sample solution. After the sample is treated with an indicator, a standard titrant is added gradually until a colour change indicates a completed reaction.
What is a titration?
Titrimetric tests are used to determine the concentration of a substance in a solution. After the sample solution is treated with an indicator, a titrant is gradually added until a colour change indicates a completed reaction. Our kits use a variety of different titration methods, including the direct reading tirator, dropper pipette or dropper bottle method.
Dropper pipette method
The drop count test uses a pipette to provide fast, reliable measurements in the field. The number of drops used to obtain a colour change is multiplied by a given factor to produce the test result.
